Go 100k Your Way for Vision Australia this April

Walk or wheel 100 kilometres in April to raise funds and support for Vision Australia.

Vision Australia is encouraging everyone to walk, wheel, or cycle 100 kilometres this month to raise funds and support for Australians who are blind or who have low vision.

“Each year, Vision Australia supports more than 35,000 people who are blind or have low vision to be active and independent members of the community,” says Vision Australia CEO Ron Hooton. “100k Your Way is a great way for people to get behind the work we do.”

Funds raised from the 100k Your Way initiative will go towards orientation and mobility services provided by Vision Australia, including: teaching people how to use white canes, supporting people as they navigate public transport, and preparing them to be matched with a Seeing Eye Dog.

100 kilometres over the course of the month of April breaks down to about 25 kilometres each week, or nearly four kilometres a day. Here are some of Australia’s great accessible trails, boardwalks, and paths that can help you reach your goal:
